Jaime Cardenas
I’m a filmmaker from San Francisco, California, with a passion for storytelling that began early in my life. Initially, I had a strong interest in acting. However, after attending a few acting classes, I realized that my true calling was behind the camera, where I could focus on shaping the stories themselves.

I earned my AA in Film Studies from City College of San Francisco and then went on to complete my Bachelor’s degree in the same field at San Francisco State University. My time at State was a unique experience, especially post-pandemic, as many hands-on opportunities were limited and several projects were scaled back to prevent the spread of the virus. During this time, I immersed myself in editing sports clips, filming projects during and after lockdown, and writing several original pieces to keep my creative energy flowing.

One of my recent projects premiered at the SFIndie Festival, which originally started as a school festival project. This experience has been a significant milestone in my journey, and I’m excited about the future. My goal is to prove that I have the skills and dedication to make an impact in the film industry, whether through writing, production, or other roles. I’m confident in my ability to contribute to any project I’m placed on.
